C H E N A R E P O R T S
To the GPS tracker once the race starts. You should be able to
figure it it out by now for yourself. We believe there is a 36
hour mid-way rest and a few other required rests.
Dawson City, the half-way point is the next stop. Some mushers
race their team hell-bent to arrive Dawson for the 36 hr. layover...and
others don't play this game. Altho' there is money at stake!
EAGLE and ROSEBUD loom...
This is a cruel end to a long difficult trail...how will it all turn out?
AMERICAN SUMMIT LOOMS
After Dawson City comes the second half of the race. Leaving
Dawson with 14 dogs was Brent Sass. Allen Moore in 4th place has
13 dogs, Hans Gatt in 3rd, 13 dogs, Michelle Phillips in 2nd with
12, and Paige Drobny in 5th with 12 dogs. (2-7-19, 3:30pm)
HOW MANY DOGS IN THE TEAM? We found it with Chena's help: https://www.yukonquest.com/results/2341/by-checkpoint
And a happy ending!!!
YQ200 PROGRESS...and it is all over and the Red Team wins!!! WOOF!!!
Chena throws a party in the truck for her younger teammates - and tries to explain why Lydia got to sleep in a hotel.
RED TEAM POURS IT ON!!!

GPS tracker of YQ200 - above the comparable size to YQ1000!!! https://yukonquest.com/race-central/yq300-live-tracker
YQ200 EAGLE/CROW REPORTS
When relevant. No "crowing" over performance, etc. Chena
plans to watch the SP Kennel website for news of the second half of the
"6 hour layover...we think not in Carmacks ("where 3 min per bib
number adjustment made...") but this changed...indeed, it is about
halfway to Braeburn (spell that "cinnamon buns") - the only one - as a stop and where adjustments are made.
61-57=4x3=12 minutes Red Team must give back out of a 58 minutes lead
with 80.9 miles to go. A 46 minutes lead...you do the math!
