Very interesting observation by CT GOP Chair. - that the continuation of the 2016 election fever did not make a difference...now, we would not agree, at least not in Weston, where it was that plus just plain back stabbing.  FINAL RESULTS OFFICIAL
To be continued.

BALLOT LOTTERY DRAWING OVER
- September 13th, Town Clerk's Office - took but a few minutes!  Click on picture to get this draft document which has a mistake - SHOULD BE "VOTE FOR 3 of 4" for P&Z since there would only be three (3) candidates running if it was uncontested (4 candidates ran two years ago in an uncontested race).

By the way, we notice that in the 18 towns and cities of the Western CT COG there are more contest than there were two years ago and quite a few multiple party contests including petitioning candidates, too.

WE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NOW TWO (2) PETITIONING CANDIDATES INTENDING TO RUN (IF SEC'Y OF THE STATE APPROVES) FOR BOARD OF FINANCE
- they are on the ballot

WHAT'S UP AT THE STATE LEVEL?
Remember the spending cap commission from last summer?  Republican budget that passed (then vetoed) and the bipartisan one that passed Oct. 19-20 contain Spending Cap details.

HOW DO YOU MAKE A PROGRESSIVE TAX INTO A REGRESSIVE TAX?
To me it is very simple.  Do what is right and put into statute a definition of how the Spending Cap is supposed to work.  It has only been @25 years  since it was adopted conceptually - and never codified into law.

ANTI-GAMBLING CHAMPION ABOVE WHO CO-CHAIRS HOUSING COMMITTEE
What's the big issue in 2017 Weston's election cycle?  My opinion, as the First Selectman has said, is we're doing fine but unfortunately we're located in Connecticut.

We note Fairfield, another RTM town, noted a "tsunami" of anti-Trump sentiment.

Greenwich RTM results provide an explanation for what happened elsewhere.  After all, if Greenwich is revolting (the verb), what's next?  Report:
