Short meeting - main action was to forward Dog Park revision to P&Z for an 8-24, also Conservation.
App't to Beautification Commission, tax refunds done, minutes approved.

and Inclusion Committee's report and requests. "M.U.S.T" stands
for "Magnify, Unite, Support, Train" - suggesting a demand.
- DOG PARK NEW PLAN & COSTS; paved roadway half the length, half the cost.
- ARPA final rules for spending $3 million broader somewhat.
- 2 interviews and 17 appointments made,
- Minutes of January 6, 2022 approved
- Adjourned 9:21pm.
SPECIAL BOARD OF SELECTMEN FRIDAY JAN. 14, 2022 AT 10AM-10:30ish
Grant application approved to be sent to D.E.E.P. Community Competitiveness Grant #1
Selectmen start off the year...
- One- hour Exec. Session with Town Attorney on litigation
(which one?).
- First meeting in January means appointments (part one).
- Others
made for staff.
- P&Z successfully makes its case for double
opt-out.
- Tax refunds and approval of December meeting.

- Long discussion again on priorities plus discussion later of how rules are different in private industry
- Tons of re-appointments plus approval for promoting a non-full member to Chair. of Sustainability.
- Conservation Planner hired...then Saturday morning...
- $283k plus project DPW supporting eroding areas on another section of Valley Forge Road near Nature Conservancy.
- Tax Refunds
- Minutes approved for 5 meetings with appropriate recusal for newest member of BOS.
- Adjourned.
Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, Special Board of Selectmen at 2:30pm-2:38pm
License agreement for Lachat Offutt Center - with
Friends of Lachat including provision for covering demolition costs,
Town Att'y office reporting.
SPECIAL BOARD OF SELECTMEN DEC. 2, 2021
Another long meeting for the Selectmen (2hrs 18 minutes) - began at 7pm -
why it was "Special." A review for the record of what has been
going on since the campaign.
- Former First Selectman Chris Spaulding recognition (resigned this summer);
- The short version, well explained, by Chair. of Facilities
Optimization Committee, of where we are now with School and Town
buildings/structures improvement plans;
- Town Green project progress and plans - now in fundraising mode.
2-1 vote to move forward for needs analysis to qualify for competitive grants. $77k approved - now to Board of Finance.
THIS WAS THE FUN PART OF THEIR TWO (2) - YEAR TERM...
Monday Nov. 29, 2021 - Special Board of Selectmen
meeting at 12 noon...until 2:32pm, discussion of goals and objectives.
They seemed in agreement on most things. 2nd Selectman in charge of DEI, 3rd Selectman Sustainable Weston.
- Safety concerns #1
- Infrastructure #2
- 10 year Capital Plan
Then they decided on "Citizens' Complaint Process"
conversation with public prior to adopting any new ordinances.
Altice to be invited to discuss upgrades to service.
Lots more discussed - draft to be sent to Selectmen of what their plan looked like to Town Administrator.
Special Meeting Monday Nov. 15, 2021, 2pm on Zoom, 25 minutes.
Good vibes at Board of Selectmen first meeting 2021-2023...
- Dispatchers new 4 yr contract via State Mediator approved
- Program Director Senior Senter approved
- 2022 regular meeting schedule approved
- Martin Mohabeer elected 2nd Selectman.
